What does Ragusa Noir taste like?
Each piece delivers a deep cocoa character from dark chocolate with around 60% cocoa content, offering a pleasant intensity with a refined, balanced bitterness. As the chocolate melts, it reveals a creamy praline filling made from finely ground hazelnuts.
Whole roasted hazelnuts are generously embedded throughout, adding satisfying crunch and natural sweetness that softens the dark chocolate’s intensity. The result is a layered flavour profile that combines bold cocoa, velvety praline, and rich nutty depth.
History of Ragusa chocolate bars:
Ragusa was created in 1942 by Swiss chocolatier Camille Bloch and quickly became the company’s flagship product. The name was inspired by the city of Dubrovnik, formerly known as Ragusa, which Camille Bloch visited during his travels.
Today, the family business, now led by Daniel Bloch, the founder’s grandson, continues to produce Ragusa using the original structure, traditional manufacturing methods, and the same commitment to quality developed over more than 80 years.
Where are Ragusa chocolates made?
All Ragusa products are manufactured in Courtelary, in the French speaking Bernese Jura region of Switzerland. Since 1935, this single production site has ensured consistent Swiss quality and craftsmanship.
