Maison Cailler is over 200 years old, and is the oldest chocolatier in Switzerland. They are mostly renowned for their expertise and innovation of chocolate making — indeed Daniel Cailler invented milk chocolate in 1875.
A few decades later Cailler used their infamous milk chocolate recipe and married it with whole roasted hazelnuts. In 1904, Cailler hazelnut milk chocolate bar was first launched and has been a roaring success for almost 120 years.

Cailler hazelnuts milk bars and the majority of their chocolate production are manufactured in Broc, in the district of Gruyère located in the canton of Fribourg, since 1898.
