The first mentions of the Cailler “branches” can be traced as far back as 1896 in Kohler’s cookbooks, who partnered with Daniel Peter (known as Cailler). Together they created the original recipe of this classic Swiss treat whose recipe has not changed since it was first introduced on the market in 1907.

To this day, the original Swiss branche remains popular in the young and old alike!

Where are Cailler chocolate made?

In 1898, Cailler opened its chocolate in the canton of Fribourg. To this day, the majority of Cailler’s chocolate production is still being made in their Broc factory, and most notably the Original chocolate branches. These bars are manufactured with an in-depth knowledge of chocolate making and using the finest ingredients.
