The first mentions of the Cailler “branches” can be traced as far back as 1896 in Kohler’s cookbooks, who partnered with Daniel Peter (known as Cailler). Together they created the original recipe of this classic Swiss treat whose recipe has not changed since it was first introduced on the market in 1907.

Where are Cailler chocolate made?

In 1898, Cailler opened its chocolate in the canton of Fribourg. To this day, the majority of Cailler’s chocolate production is still being made in their Broc factory, and notably the mini Original chocolate branches.
